Kimono Love

So this winter has been really brutal and I catch myself constantly daydreaming about Spring and warm weather. I'm also ready to pack away my giant puffy jacket and mittens and start wearing less layers and more dresses!

I bought this gorgeous kimono blazer a few years ago at a Salvation Army store in my hometown. It's one of my favorite pieces to wear in Spring and Summer (or generally anytime, to be honest). I love the gorgeous floral pattern, the colors, and the material of this kimono...it's perfect. I typically wear this kimono with jeans for winter but since I was inside (more photo fun with Ian) I decided to pair it with this gorgeous slip from Free People that I bought at a secondhand store a couple years ago in Pittsburgh. I never wear many accessories for some reason so I went with these big chandelier earrings from Forever 21. To finish off the look I wore these ivory booties from Charlotte Russe.

What are your wardrobe must-haves for Spring?

Thank you for stopping by!!

For Elyse Sponsorship: Solemio Crop Top

Hello Lovelies!

I have the amazing opportunity of being sponsored by For Elyse. I can't express enough how much I simply adore their clothing site...I mean everything on there is amazing and I always have the most difficult time picking just one item. If you haven't checked out their website, you should do it now...they have such pretty pieces for Spring! A couple weeks ago they sent me this GORGEOUS crop top by Solemio. It's chiffon, cropped, black, lace, and bell sleeved. I mean this top is everything I could ever want all in one. The weather hasn't really permitted me to wear it out as much as I would like so Ian and I decided to do a impromptu photo shoot inside. (Special thanks to Ian for always being down to take pictures of me!)

I'm wearing my favorite patterned pants from H&M and these stunning rosegold flatforms from GoJane. They're my holy grail platforms for Summer because they're so comfortable and look amazing when they catch some light. I especially love how they're looking with this top. For accessories I just stuck to this gold choker from Forever 21 and a beautifully beaded vintage clutch I bought a few years back at Goodwill.

Thank you for checking in!!

Spring Wish List

Spring Wishlist

J.Crew stretch jeans / Black floral romper, $41 / Forever 21 bra / BC Shoes flat sandals / Red purse / Quay Eyeware sunglasses / ASOS Bracelet Pack With Multi Beads / Marc Jacobs daisy perfume, $67 / Lux Art Silks succulent plant

Happy Wednesday Folks!!!

I haven't updated this blog with an outfit post in awhile (mainly because it is FREEZING and grey in Pittsburgh quite a bit lately). However, I want to be as active as I can on here. It really makes me happy and I appreciate all of you who take the time to read it! So, I've decided to make a "Spring Wish List" to show you all what pieces I have been desiring lately. Thinking about the Spring also makes this dreary frigid winter a lot more bearable (MUST HAVE WARM THOUGHTS)!

1. Forever 21 Bralette [$20]. I think this would look really playful and cute under tees, tanks, chiffon, and loose dresses. I also love this color red...it will add the perfect pop to any outfit.

2. Succulent Plants [$188]. Okay okay...I know plants aren't accessories but I've been obsessed with succulent plants for sooo long. I took a trip to L.A. last Spring with my best friends and there were succulents everywhere! I suppose they're just nostalgic for me in terms of warm weather and sunshine.

3. LuLu*s Watermelon Clutch [$31]. I love love love this clutch!! It's absolutely adorable and it just screams spring/summer time. This will definitely be one of my next purchases.

4. J.Crew Stretch Jeans [$258]. In Pittsburgh the weather is always unpredictable and it fails to really get warm until about late April early May. I appreciate investing in a great pair of jeans that are both comfortable and stylish. (For those days when it's too cold or your leggings and tights are all dirty, obviously).

5. Olivia Burton Gold Bee Bracelet Watch [$157.41]. So have I mentioned that I adore anything with insects as a part of the design? I have no idea why...but I love anything with bees, beetles, butterflies etc when it comes to jewelry. This watch is super cute and I think the bee design and gold-tone stainless steel hardware is perfect for Spring.

6. Marc Jacobs Daisy Perfume [$67]. I am a perfume junkie...and Daisy is one of my all-time favorite summery and Spring time scents. It smells so incredible and it just looks like a bottle of sunshine.

7. Floral Romper [$41]. I love rompers (playsuits). I don't tend to wear rompers during the winter because I would have to put a billion layers under and over them and that would be a rough time for bathroom breaks and whatnot (am I right??)

8. Quay Elton Sunglasses [$28]. I am in love with these sunnies!! I was watching Clothes Encounters the other day and Jenn Im had this pair. They just look so cool (i love the shape!) and would match everything.

9. Modcloth's Jelly Sandals [$30]. Jelly sandals are my favorite trend for summer and spring. I'll just admit it. They are so freaking cute, remind me of my childhood, and they come in so many great styles and colors!

Thank you for stopping by! I promise I'll have an outfit post soon...featuring a gorgeous Solemio Crop Top from For Elyse!!

Guest Post: For Elyse

Hi Everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Life has been so busy lately and there have been so many changes! As a part of my New Years resolution(s) I've cut back on nasty habits and have been eating better and practicing more yoga. My boyfriend moved in with me last weekend and I feel beyond spoiled having him around...it's the best. The weather has also been really unpredictable here in Pittsburgh which sometimes makes it a total pain to shoot in. What motivates you to photograph when it's miserable outside? I need some help in that department haha.

Recently I did a guest post for Arielle from For Elyse (my recent sponsor) about my latest obsession with the "little black dress" and my never ending search to find the perfect one. For Elyse  has an amazing selection of little black dresses that are perfect for absolutely any occasion! However, I just happen to be in love with almost everything on their site. Yesterday I received a beautiful black crop top from them and I seriously cannot wait to style it! Keep your eyes out for that post coming soon.

You can check out my guest post here and these are a few dresses from their site that I adore:

Thank you so much for checking in!

Some of My Favorites

Happy Weekend Friends!

I hope you're all having a fun weekend and staying warm! It's actually in the double digits today in Pittsburgh so I decided to get a little crazy and wear a dress (!!!) and these super cute Alice in Wonderland tights from StockingNoir. These tights were a gift from Elysia Purnell, the creator of this amazing legwear company based here in Pittsburgh, Pa. I did a shoot with her awhile back for her lookbook and fell in love with all of the stockings.

I paired the look with my emerald suede booties that I'm obsessed with and a pair of sparkly wool socks my sister got me for Christmas. Sadly you can't see the sparkle in the photos but they helped with keeping me warm. I also wore this stunning infinity scarf Ian's mom knit me for Christmas! I'm absolutely in love with this scarf...it's so warm and the colors are GORGEOUS! It's definitely a new favorite of mine.

I wanted to keep my accessories pretty minimal since I have so much going on with this outfit already. I'm carrying my iridescent seashell clutch wallet and these birthstone earrings.

Of course it was too cold to wear this outfit by itself so I put my giant Calvin Klein jacket over it (not pictured).

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for checking in!
